Develop and maintain bioinformatics applications and tools, ensuring high performance and reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and improvements
Utilize scripting languages and Linux/Unix tools to streamline processes and enhance functionality
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in Python, BASH, and other scripting languages
Experience with bioinformatics pipelines and tools such as Illumina BCL Conversion and Genomic Aligners
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and tools
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred
Familiarity with Genetics software pipelines and laboratory tools
Experience working in an Agile team environment
Knowledge of clustered environments like Oracle Grid Engine
Exposure to cloud integration tools such as awscli, gcloud, and azurecli
