They are seeking a Verification Specialist who will be responsible for verifying patients' insurance coverage and providing clerical support to the billing office.

Responsibilities
Generates daily schedule and reviews verification notes to ascertain the date of last verification
Verifies patients insurance coverage, demographics and coordinates with Referral Coordinator when a referral is needed
Maintains insurance verification spreadsheet for all verifications that reveal a lapse in coverage and or private pay
Documents standard verification information in the collection notes and notifies the admissions manager and/or branch coordinator of any irregularities and/or special benefits
Provides clerical support to the billing office to include, filing, pulling, and coping EOBs for collections staff
Qualification
Required
High school degree or equivalent
Minimum of two years experience in insurance verification
Experience in referrals
Experience in co-payment collection
Experience in billing
Experience in customer service
1-2 years experience in medical billing software
Ability to balance and close cash drawer
