Sr. Assoc., Procurement (Onsite)

Pratt & Whitney is working to transform the future of flight and is seeking an energetic self-starter to join its Military Engines Support Equipment Procurement Team as a Buyer. The Buyer will execute procurement processes, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with procurement regulations while working in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Executes processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and / or program execution
Manage Statement of Work (SOW) agreements, Standard and Service Purchase Orders as well as negotiate pricing, contractual terms, and lead time. Also control costs and perform price analysis
Manage vendor relationships and performance and maintain accuracy of purchasing documents and data. Also, build and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers and a focus on supplier development
Troubleshoot issues within SAP with key stakeholders (Fleet Management/Customer Accounts/Buyers/Delivery Assurance/Quality). Also, utilize data to strategically award Purchase Orders
Consistently and effectively communicate requirements and changes to Suppliers, Customers and cross functional teams as well as lead and support Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) activities such as standard work
Work closely with internal organizations such as Quality, SE Fleet Management, Delivery Assurance, Contracts, and Program as well as ensure compliance with applicable Procurement Manual Regulations, Requirements, and P&W policies. Maintain accuracy of purchasing documents and data and also control costs and perform price analysis
Manage vendor relationships and performance as well as manage and support delivery schedule to customers. Ensure compliance with applicable Procurement Manual Regulations, Requirements, and P&W policies as well as support process improvements

Required

Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience
Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, PPT, Word)
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Strong communication skills
Knowledge of FARS/DFARS
Ability to adapt and manage changing rapidly changing requirements and problem solve
Prior procurement experience
