They are seeking an Engineering Technician - Distribution to provide design and CAD services, technical assistance, and quality checks on various utility distribution projects.

Responsibilities
Provide design and CAD services on client projects
Represent the client and provide best-in-class service
Involved with consulting on select projects where your expertise and guidance is requested
Provide technical assistance to the Welty Project Management Team as requested
Prepare designs utilizing client standards based on input from engineers, manufacturers, client, etc. For example:
Single line diagrams
AC & DC schematics
Physical designs
SCADA designs
Wiring diagrams
Verify projects are following all applicable client standards
Utilize client software to manage drawings checked out by Welty
Perform site visits when necessary
Consult on internal projects when requested by the PM, Portfolio Manager, or Executive Vice President
Perform Quality checks to ensure project quality and project completion before submitting project
Perform Electrical Calculations (Load ratings, Transformer Sizing, etc.)
Main contact for team questions and technical issues
Train new hires on software, engineering/construction processes, types of equipment, etc
Adherence to Welty Core Values, OPTIC (Openness, Passion, Teamwork, Integrity, Customer Centricity)
Coordinate and facilitate meetings regarding project reviews, status updates, concerns, etc
Share knowledge and train oncoming Engineering Technicians
Establish trust and healthy rapport with client and contract engineer firms
Collaborate with Management Team to foster a productive and encouraging environment
Timesheet entries and expenses to be appropriately applied to corresponding projects and should be submitted weekly
Qualification
Required

Associate's degree in drafting or equivalent technical program
3+ years of experience designing utility distribution design
