Responsibilities
Analyze project plans and specifications to develop detailed cost estimates
Work closely with engineers and project managers to outline project scope
Review and interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure accuracy
Utilize specialized estimation software for preparing cost assessments
Assess and choose materials and equipment suitable for projects
Prepare and submit proposals for mechanical work
Conduct risk evaluations and propose mitigation strategies
Track project progress to ensure adherence to estimated costs
Assist during project execution to maintain cost accuracy
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
A minimum of five years in mechanical estimating within the construction sector
Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities
In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and the ability to read technical drawings
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Preferred
Familiarity preferred with Bluebeam, OST, Quotesoft, Trimble, Richardson's and MS Office Suite
Certifications: P.E., LEED, ASPE, or AACEI
