Focality Business Developer

Babcock & Wilcox is seeking a Focality Business Developer to serve as a strategic bridge between the company and its Focaliti entity. The role involves identifying client opportunities, focusing on AVEVA implementation, and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and manage project workloads.

Responsibilities

Qualify leads, conduct introductory calls, and coordinate follow-up meetings
Collaborate with technical and subject-matter experts to prepare proposals and support sales efforts
Maintain close relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction, identify new opportunities, and anticipate upcoming needs
Build enduring partner relationships and present solutions that combine Focaliti services with B&W’s broader portfolio
Articulate Focaliti’s capabilities—revision control, data continuity, AI-enabled P&ID redrafting—in client proposals and presentations
Monitor project workload and resource allocation
Identify and qualify technical resources (internal and external) to support ongoing and upcoming projects
Work closely with HR to manage the recruitment process, from defining needs to interviewing and onboarding
Represent Focaliti at events, and career fairs
Support social media (LinkedIn) posts and networking initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or digital systems
Experience in technical engineering environments, ideally AVEVA Unified Engineering
Mastery of consultative sales techniques and client enablement
Experience with AVEVA
Experience with CRM
Comfortable in rapidly evolving, digital-first environments; strong consultative selling and change agency skills
Ability to help clients define digital transformation roadmaps, from training to continuous improvement
Proven experience in business development, operations, or account management
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable interacting with both clients and internal teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities, balancing commercial, operational, and people-related needs
Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a small, dynamic structure

Preferred

MBA or advanced technical degree
