Responsibilities

Provide safe, high-quality outpatient cardiovascular nursing care using evidence-based practice

Perform patient assessments, interviews, and review medical history and medications

Support cardiac diagnostics including stress testing and cardiopulmonary monitoring

Perform IV insertions and administer IV medications as ordered

Monitor telemetry, vital signs, and patient responses during diagnostic testing or rehab sessions

Respond to emergency situations following ACLS protocols

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Educate patients and families on cardiovascular disease, risk factors, and treatment plans

Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record

Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety standards

Qualification

Active RN LicenseBLS CertificationCardiovascular Nursing CarePatient Care ExperienceCritical ThinkingCommunication SkillsTeamwork SkillsTime Management SkillsDecision-Making SkillsCollaborative EnvironmentFast-Paced Environment

Required

Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and decision-making skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment

Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management skills

Acute care surgical setting

Collaborative, team-based OR environment

Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma

Active RN License (Single-State of Georgia or Compact)

BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Minimum 2 years of direct patient care RN experience

Ability to work night shift (for this specific role)

Ability to deliver individualized care in a fast-paced acute care environment

Commitment to Hospital care standards, safety policies, and code of conduct

Preferred

Room or perioperative experience

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
