Responsibilities

Prepare progress schedule reports for the project managers to update, analyze, and determine the status of assigned project tasks
Monitor and measure the progress of the project plan and changes. Identify variations from the plan and analyze and report on the cause
Evaluate and forecast project status against an established baseline schedule. Assess the impact of project delays and report the status to the appropriate Project Management Organization to mitigate project overruns and schedule slippage
Analyze and assess project milestones
Prepare concise schedule narratives describing the status of assigned projects
Integrate subcontractor and vendor schedules for the delivery of services, equipment, and materials
Organizes and documents Interactive Planning Sessions (IAP) with project stakeholders. The stakeholders shall apply practical field experience with planning/scheduling knowledge to identify challenges and risks to the project schedules and suggest mitigation measures
Ensure that projects and activities are correctly coded and progress reporting is submitted in a timely manner through coordination with the project team, subcontractors, and vendors
Ensure audit compliance with company scheduling procedures for preparing and maintaining baseline schedules and train Project Management staff on company scheduling procedures and proper scheduling techniques

Required

4+ years of relevant Scheduling Project Controls experience on construction projects
Strong scheduling skills and must be proficient in related software Primavera (P6)
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word software and general working knowledge of MS Office suite products
Understand industry safety standards
Requires knowledge and experience with the principles of Project Management and Project Controls
Must be able to report on all project schedules and baseline variances, monitor project progress and risk, and ensure project milestones are met
Requires the ability to identify the project risks and develop mitigation measures for the Project Management team
Must be able to run schedule update meetings with multiple stakeholders confidently
Understanding of Critical Path Methodology (CPM) and dynamic scheduling methodology (DSM) scheduling techniques and principles, including the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects concurrently
Support overlapping project scheduling tasks, issue management, meeting facilitation, document control, and monthly status reporting to the Project Management Team
Must be able to prepare written communications on technical and non-technical matters for various levels of management
Must clearly and concisely be capable of presenting project trends and forecast performance reports to management and make recommendations on strategies to resolve project issues as required
Must be able to effectively interact with various departments to maintain open lines of communication
Must be able to track field progress and provide reporting on Cost Loaded Scheduling
Must be proficient in Primavera (P6) v19 and above
Experience with Primavera Team Member

Preferred

Experience in a natural gas utility is highly desirable
Experience in preparing schedules in an industrial environment at gas plants preferred
