Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for applicants and oversee the full recruitment lifecycle—from inquiry through selection, offer, and onboarding—ensuring a consistent, mission-aligned candidate experience
Lead and manage the applicant evaluation and interview process, including interviewer assignment, timelines, and direct candidate interviews to assess mission fit, character, and leadership potential
Provide strategic and operational leadership for all law student recruitment efforts, designing and refining a comprehensive, mission-aligned recruitment strategy
Supervise and develop the Blackstone recruitment team, establishing clear priorities, accountability, and performance standards while fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture
Set strategic direction and oversee high-volume, national recruitment initiatives across in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats, ensuring operational excellence and stewardship
Guide recruitment across diverse channels—including law schools, student organizations, and partner networks—adapting strategies based on data and emerging opportunities
Oversee recruitment systems, tools, and infrastructure to ensure data integrity, efficient workflows, and timely reporting
Partner with the Vice President and senior leadership to advise on recruitment strategy, staffing, budgeting, systems, and resource allocation
Analyze recruitment data and trends to provide insights on yield, conversion, outreach diversity, institutional engagement, and candidate experience
Build and maintain strong relationships with law schools and student organizations, represent Blackstone during fall recruitment travel, and oversee related student programming and recruitment communications

Required

Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 7 years relevant experience
A deep understanding of people, organizational dynamics, and key recruitment metrics, with the ability to translate data into strategy and measurable recruitment outcomes
Best practices in legal talent recruitment, candidate assessment, and pipeline development within mission-driven and high-performance environments
Exceptional communication skills that inspire confidence, build trust, and foster durable relationships with candidates, academic partners, and internal stakeholders
High organizational acumen, attention to detail, and the discipline to manage complex, high-volume workflows without sacrificing candidate experience or strategic focus
