Responsibilities

Help build scale out and modernize production trading platform
Hit the ground running on projects such as trading systems (i.e. matching engines, smart order routing, etc.)

Required

Candidate must have experience working with high volume systems
Strong Java on Linux, approx 5+ years experience
Experience with multi-threaded real time systems
Experience optimizing systems for performance
Strong relational db experience (MS SQLServer/Sybase/Postgres)
FIX protocol knowledge is a must
Experience UNIX shell scripting and with scripting languages (any one of python/perl/ruby)
Experience with 24x7 always on applications in which downtime is limited and operational tools are important
Big data experience with HBASE and map/reduce environment
Messaging systems (Kafka, Solace, RabbitMQ, JMS, Etc)
Education from Top School
Good communications skills
A self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team
Capable picking up a wide range of technologies that they may not have worked with on in the past
An awareness of working in a customer facing business and develop an understanding of the impact of their work
Understanding of AWS

Preferred

Small company experience is a plus
implemented Docker into an environment is an advantage
Aeron AND Or Sequencer Architecture experience is an advantage
