Responsibilities
Answers a multi-line telephone system; provides information and assistance or routes calls to appropriate staff
Processes voter registrations by mail, in-person, and through DOT registration forms
Prints and prepares voter registration cards and mails to registered voters
Processing voters on election day; sets up and tears down equipment at the end of the day
Processes deceased voter and duplicate voter records; processes National Change of Address records
Scans all documents pertaining elections and attached them to proper voter record
Scans received ballot affidavit envelopes
Assists temporary employees with absentee ballot request and voter registration process
Performs related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of modern office policies and procedures
Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
Knowledge of voter registration laws, rules, and guidelines
Knowledge of absentee voting laws, rules, and regulations
Knowledge of real estate records and related department policies and procedures
Skill in the use of computers and job-related software programs
Skill in the operation of modern office equipment
Skill in oral and written communication
Skill in problem solving
Skill in prioritizing and scheduling work
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years
