Electrical Proposal Engineer

The Electrical Proposal Engineer will be responsible for generating capital equipment sales proposals, including drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates, while ensuring customer satisfaction and collaborating with engineering and sales departments.

Responsibilities

Generate sales proposals: drawings (initial concept), technical specification, cost estimates
Ensure customer requests are satisfied in the sales proposal. Attend customer meetings & conference calls as required
Contract review (before order acceptance)
Be the liaison between engineering and sales departments to ensure the success of all
Review sales information and determine if there is sufficient information to prepare a proposal
Distribute sales requests to other departments as required
Ensure all sales requests are properly setup and tracked
Evaluate performance against tracking log with metric analysis
Report status of engineering sales requests to sales team
Balance workload with various deliverables and due dates
Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment
All other related duties as assigned
Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job

Qualification

Electrical EngineeringMechatronics EngineeringMachine Control SystemsAutoCADData Acquisition SystemsPLC Control LogicTechnical Field ExperienceMS OfficeReport WritingCommunication Skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
Minimum of 10 years' experience in the design of electrical and/or electromechanical systems
Minimum of 3 years' experience with integration of machine control systems, data acquisition systems, and/or PLC control logic
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology
Ability to read/ understand electrical and mechanical drawings
AutoCAD (or equivalent) knowledge
Ability to prepare complex written reports and other documentation
Basic knowledge of MS Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to walk
Ability to speak verbally and read in English
Ability to see with corrective lenses
Ability to hear
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity
Ability to use a computer
Able to work evenings and/or weekends as required
Able to travel up to 10% domestically

Preferred

Technical field experience is a plus
