Responsibilities
Lead and grow multiple security focused engineering teams, supporting their technical direction and ensuring consistent execution across all workstreams
Create a unified strategy and multi quarter roadmap for platform security that covers identity and access management, secrets management, network protections, and internal tooling
Collaborate with leaders in engineering, security, infrastructure, and related groups to define a comprehensive approach to security for a rapidly evolving platform
Oversee large scale projects such as new secrets management systems, expanded identity and access capabilities, and improvements to application and network defenses
Develop managers and senior engineers by strengthening their leadership skills, technical judgment, and ability to guide teams through complex work
Improve operational maturity by promoting strong observability, thoughtful incident response practices, and increased automation that reduces manual overhead
Build strong relationships across engineering, security, compliance, and product to align initiatives with broader organizational goals
Support improvements to recruiting, onboarding, performance evaluation, and technical operations to raise the standard of excellence across the organization
Qualification
Required
An experienced engineering leader with a background managing managers and guiding distributed teams in infrastructure, reliability, or security focused environments
Comfortable defining long term strategies and leading programs that span multiple teams and stakeholder groups
Dedicated to developing strong technical leaders and creating autonomous teams that deliver consistently
Skilled at making balanced decisions that support both security and developer productivity
Confident in discussions that involve platform architecture, automation, and secure by default design principles
Experienced in building and maintaining secure, scalable, and resilient systems within cloud native environments
Clear and persuasive in communication with the ability to build alignment at every level of the organization
Curious about emerging AI capabilities and eager to explore practical, responsible ways to use them to improve engineering workflows
