The intern will work closely with leadership to review accounting processes, ensure compliance, and contribute to strategic financial initiatives.

Responsibilities

Assist in evaluating accounting workflows, identifying gaps, and recommending improvements for efficiency and compliance
Help prepare and analyze budgets, expense reports, and financial statements for affordable housing projects
Ensure accuracy of financial data across multiple properties and systems
Communicate findings and insights to property and regional leadership throughout the project
Deliver a comprehensive summary of financial insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders at the end of the program
During the first two weeks, travel locally within Nashville (up to 25%) for on-site financial reviews and team meetings

Required

Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders
