Responsibilities
Ensure that legal documents are successfully filed with appropriate courts, agencies and officials, either in paper or electronically
Set motion dates, return dates and times in State Courts
Maintain and distribute information relating to court calls and significant dates for firm business (court dates, filing deadlines, etc.) through contact with clerks’ offices, firm personnel, electronic communications and elsewhere
Arrange for service of process (summons and subpoena)
Obtain and distribute on request electronic copies of forms for Federal and State Courts
Review state, federal, and local rules to confirm that pleadings comply with guidelines
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled full-time, in a 4-year university/college
Must be well-organized with strong attention to detail
Proficient in basic computer applications including Windows XP and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to work independently and seek clarification when needed
Must have a positive attitude and be results-oriented, dependable, adhere to established time commitments and demonstrate strong customer service attributes
