Responsibilities
Supervise lab technicians and promote a strong safety culture while conducting risk assessments and ensure compliance with site safety policies
Oversee testing for NPDES compliance (TSS, BOD) and process/product quality, ensuring lab accreditation and integrity of regulatory data
Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for environmental emergencies
Maintain compliance with NPDES permits and related regulations while overseeing chemical approval processes, inventory management, and reporting
Manage solid waste programs, including contractor oversight and permit adherence
Communicate effectively with regulatory agencies and internal teams
Prepare and maintain accurate environmental reports and engineering calculations
Lead environmental initiatives and capital projects
Support new process testing and ensure accurate, defensible data collection
Qualification
Required
BS in engineering, chemistry, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong knowledge of industrial lab testing and environmental compliance
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and work in challenging environments
Physically able to perform inspections in remote or elevated areas
Preferred
7-10 years of relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
