Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of product and regulatory attorneys supporting multiple areas of Robinhood’s business

Provide practical, solutions-oriented legal advice to cross-functional teams on a broad range of regulatory issues, including banking, credit, investment advisory, asset management, brokerage and corporate strategy

Partner closely with compliance, product, operations, and executive leadership to identify legal risks and drive mitigation strategies

Support regulatory engagement and examinations as needed

Help build scalable legal processes and frameworks to support a rapidly evolving financial technology company

Mentor and grow team members while promoting a strong culture of collaboration, accountability, and inclusion

Required

J.D. and membership in at least one U.S. state bar in good standing

12+ years of relevant legal experience, with a strong background in financial regulatory law across multiple areas such as banking, credit, investment advisory, asset management, or broker-dealer regulation

Experience managing legal professionals or cross-functional teams, with a track record of developing talent and delivering results

Ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory issues while delivering clear, actionable guidance

Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth, and highly regulated environment

Strong communication skills and a business-oriented mindset

Demonstrated ability to quickly develop fluency in new substantive areas and effectively lead and collaborate with team members who bring deep subject-matter expertise
