Finance & Accounting Manager
StoneArch Logistics is a rapidly growing, service-led 3PL with an entrepreneurial culture and a strong operational foundation. The Finance & Accounting Manager will oversee daily transactional finance operations, strengthen financial infrastructure, and collaborate closely with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and hold accountable a 6-person finance and accounting team to achieve departmental and company objectives
Ensure accurate, timely billing and financial transactions
Oversee exception management for billing, cash receipts, and carrier/vendor payments
Manage AR, collections, credit decisions, and customer onboarding; eventually payroll
Maintain departmental SOPs and scalable workflows
Drive accuracy and quality of customer invoice products
Oversee daily cash disbursements to carriers and vendors
Complete daily bank reconciliation and ensure cash visibility
Improve AR aging performance and reduce DSO
Monitor credit risk and support customer contract reviews
Support annual budgeting processes
Assist with forecasting models, scenario planning, and financial analysis
Partner with the CFO on strategic initiatives tied to operational efficiency, technology improvement, and growth planning
Select Administrative & Human Resources responsibilities including, but not limited to: onboarding, offboarding, annual open enrollment and benefits administration
Participate department manager weekly meetings
Identify and execute improvements in workflows, automation, efficiency, and internal controls
Partner cross-functionally to reduce friction between finance, sales, and operations
Elevate financial processes to support scale, accuracy, and speed
Support the evaluation and implementation of finance-related technology
Maintain and evolve financial dashboards and KPI scorecards
Partner with CFO to analyze trends, variances, and business drivers
Provide insight and recommendations for improving profitability, efficiency, and financial controls
Qualification
Required
5+ years of progressive accounting experience with broad exposure to transactional finance, general ledger, AR/AP, and financial operations
2+ years of direct team leadership with proven ability to coach, develop, and performance manage a team
High customer service mindset, ensuring Finance & Accounting also functions as a high service, solutions-oriented partner while strengthening StoneArch's commitment to exceptional customer service and internal support
Strong Excel capability (data extraction, manipulation, analysis, and insight generation)
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally and influence both internal teams and external stakeholders
Preferred
Experience with credit decisioning, onboarding processes, or AR optimization is beneficial
Experience in high-growth, fast-paced, or operations-intensive environments preferred
