Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all MDP grinding operation equipment throughout the area, including, but not limited to: Multivac machines, Ossid Tray Pack equipment, Segment Line equipment, Wolftec Injectors, Brine mixers, Frigoscandia spiral freezer, Ishida scales and associated equipment, mechanical conveying equipment, electronic label printers, computers, vacuum packaging machines, Box making/sealing equipments, metal detectors, plumbing, pneumatics, welding, reading blue prints and schematics
Generate work orders, store requisitions, report deficiencies

Required

Must have five years experience in poultry processing maintenance or related field
Must be able to troubleshoot and make 'on the spot' corrections to emergency situations
Must be able to weld, arc and heli-arc, and use cutting torch
Must have good written and oral communication skills, in English
Must be self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Must be able to work from ladder, safely
Must be able to work rotating shifts, and weekends as required
Must be willing to cross train in processing maintenance area
Must be able to stand for prolong period of time (8-10 hrs) on a concrete/metal grate floor
