HR Operations Intern

FPWA is a nonprofit organization that has been advocating for policy reforms since 1922. The HR Operations Intern will support the Human Resource and Operations Team, gaining exposure to various HR functions including onboarding, employee engagement, and training.

Responsibilities

Collaborate on projects that improve employee experience, such as updating processes or creating internal guides
Support employee inquiries, answering day-to-day questions and directing employees to the right resources
Contribute to engagement and training efforts: researching training resources, trends, best practices and providing recommendations around development, recognition and retention
Support the team by researching labor law trends and best practices to help update internal guides and policies
Provide administrative support for employee engagement and internal communication within BambooHR (FPWA’s HRIS) Community, including coordinating with outside departments on announcements, updates and recognition posts
Assist in maintaining employee records and ensuring data accuracy within BambooHR
Keen interest in gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit operations
Other duties and tasks as assigned

Human ResourcesBambooHRMicrosoft Office SuiteCommunicatorHighly organizedDetail-oriented

Required

Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's Degree program with interest in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
Strong communicator who enjoys working with people and solving problems
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred

Prior Experience working with BambooHR a plus
