The Platform Engineer will own projects from scoping to delivery, building and scaling core infrastructure, designing data systems, and modeling the accounting world for AI applications.

Responsibilities
Design and scale services for reliability, cost, and growth
Define deployment and runtime patterns (containers, orchestration, IaC, secrets, CI/CD)
Build observability systems (metrics, logs, traces) and make recovery straightforward
Own your services in production. Understand how they behave and continuously improve them
Build pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver high-quality financial data
Add validation, lineage tracking, and drift detection directly into workflows
Provide clean, well-modeled datasets to agents and product surfaces with clear contracts
Continuously simplify. Turn complexity into elegant, composable systems
Capture accounting entities, relationships, and rules as data models and schemas
Design the abstractions that make reasoning and automation possible
Build systems that encode domain rules about what agents can and cannot do
Plan and execute your projects as an RP: scope, architect, implement, and deliver
Document decisions clearly so others can build on your work
Run your own postmortems and continuously improve how you build
Work with your pod (Platform, ML, Product) to align priorities and solve blockers quickly
Qualification
Required
Experience in building and scaling core infrastructure
Ability to design and scale services for reliability, cost, and growth
Knowledge of deployment and runtime patterns (containers, orchestration, IaC, secrets, CI/CD)
Experience in building observability systems (metrics, logs, traces) and making recovery straightforward
Ownership of services in production with a focus on understanding behavior and continuous improvement
Experience in building data pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver high-quality financial data
Ability to add validation, lineage tracking, and drift detection into workflows
Experience in providing clean, well-modeled datasets with clear contracts
Ability to simplify complexity into elegant, composable systems
Experience in capturing accounting entities, relationships, and rules as data models and schemas
Ability to design abstractions for reasoning and automation
Experience in building systems that encode domain rules
Ability to plan and execute projects as a Responsible Party (RP): scope, architect, implement, and deliver
Skill in documenting decisions clearly for others to build on
Experience in running postmortems and continuously improving processes
Ability to work with cross-functional teams to align priorities and solve blockers
