Critical Project Services is seeking a CAD Designer to support substation engineering projects by creating detailed drawings and design documents. The role involves collaboration with engineers and project teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare 2D and 3D CAD drawings for substation layouts, equipment arrangements, structures, grounding, and conduit routing

Update and revise drawings based on engineering inputs, field notes, and markups

Support the development of design packages, including plans, sections, details, and bills of material

Maintain drawing quality and consistency in accordance with company standards and applicable codes

Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other designers to resolve design issues

Manage document control for assigned projects, ensuring the latest versions of drawings and files are properly stored and distributed

Assist with field verification and as-built updates as needed

Qualification

Required

Associate degree in Drafting/Design Technology or equivalent experience

Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar CAD platforms

Good communication and teamwork skills

Substation or utility drafting experience
