Responsibilities
Collaborate with other disciplines throughout hospitals to develop and implement the American College of Surgeons (ACS) standards for care of trauma patient
Ensure compliance with Ohio state law as related to Trauma Centers and trauma patients
Establish and maintain relationships with community officials, trauma and EMS organizations as a liaison for the Hospital
Represent Trauma Service on selected hospital and community committees
Co-chair trauma related committees in collaboration with the Medical Director for Trauma
Qualification
Required
Five years of experience in Emergency Department or Critical Care Nursing
Current valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license
Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing
Preferred
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) audit or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN)
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
