Responsibilities
Own cases from initial customer inquiry to final resolution
Interpret incoming emails where customers may:
Be unclear
Use incorrect banking terms
Not fully understand what they’re requesting
Determine the true customer need and next steps
Identify the correct property (check or account)
Send customers the appropriate documentation or instructions
Review customer-submitted documents for completeness and accuracy
Ensure cases are fully closed with a final confirmation email
Research account history, checks, and ownership details
Review and validate documents such as:
Power of Attorney
Beneficiary documentation
Estate-related paperwork
Understand how cashier’s checks and bank accounts function
Ensure documentation meets compliance and internal requirements
All communication is via email and formal letters
No inbound or outbound phone calls
Strong written communication and reading comprehension are critical
Ability to clearly explain complex banking concepts to customers in writing
Handle multiple cases per day
Frequently switch between tasks and cases
Track follow-ups manually—some tasks do not trigger automatic system alerts
Maintain strong organization to ensure nothing is missed
Qualification
Required
Strong soft skills, especially: Reading comprehension
Attention to detail
Written communication
Case management experience (even if not explicitly titled on the resume)
Research-driven mindset
Ability to independently manage work from start to finish
Preferred
Prior experience, especially: Customer-facing roles
Familiarity with banking terminology
Experience in: Banking Complaints Group, Estate Care Center (EEC)
Exposure to: Unclaimed property processes, Estate handling or beneficiary accounts
