Responsibilities
Design and reason about integration experiences with a strong focus on end-user simplicity and developer experience
Build full-stack solutions across Stripe's ecosystem, including back-end services, dashboard interfaces, and integrations with other Stripe primitives
Engage directly with users to understand their business needs and translate requirements into concrete solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and other engineering teams to deliver these solutions
Write code in your day-to-day job, in addition to helping make those around you better view code review and design feedback
Help scale our systems to handle millions of transactions while maintaining high availability and performance
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer
Ability to take ambiguous product requirements and problems and turn them into working software solutions
Experience leading teams that have shipped and maintained critical user-facing products
Strong technical proficiency to engage thoughtfully with engineers about architecture and product design, with a particular focus on modern web technologies, performance, and user experience
Experience building extensible, leveraged software solutions that scale to different kinds of user needs, with the ability to empathize with users and advocate for exceptional user experiences
Preferred
History of working on geographically distributed teams
Previous experiences working in payments and on payments technology
Previous experience using Stripe products
