Field Service Technician III - Solar
RES is committed to building a workplace where everyone feels heard and respected. The Field Service Technician III will assist senior Field Service Technicians with operating and maintaining utility scale solar facilities, focusing on preventative and corrective maintenance of solar assets.

Responsibilities
Takes direction from senior site personnel
Sets positive example for and mentors junior technicians
Troubleshoots low voltage DC power systems
Troubleshoots low voltage, medium voltage, and high voltage AC power systems
Conducts preventative maintenance on AC and DC power systems
Identifies faulty or underperforming equipment
Uses hand tools effectively
Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
Manages site inventory
Assist in development of site operating plans
Follows site safety plan and safe work practices
Adheres to proper Lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) practices and procedures
Interfaces with project stakeholders (owners, equipment manufacturers, etc.)
Interfaces with project subcontractors
Represents RES in professional manner to project stakeholders
Responds to physical location within 1.5 hours for emergency calls identified as a priority by Operations Control Center
Operates RES company vehicles, including trucks, in accordance with state and federal laws and RES policies
Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected
Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures
Rotating on-call schedule for emergency response
Presets, supports, and leads by example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude
Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action
Ensures that safety is the most important function, follows safe practices while working
Reinforces safe behaviors and eliminates 'at risk' behaviors
Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly
Ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) occurs before scopes of work commence
Adheres to and understands standard operating procedures
Receives job and task specific training prior to work commencing
Qualification
Required
High school/GED General Education required
4+ years or more Related electrical maintenance experience required
2+ years or more Medium voltage electrical work experience required
Intermediate High voltage electrical power systems
Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Advanced Low voltage, medium voltage, high voltage electrical power systems - Drawings - Circuit theory
Advanced OSHA regulations
Advanced Equipment operation (skid-steer, forklift, etc.)
Advanced Job hazard analysis (JHA) creation
Advanced Electrical tools (multimeter, IR camera)
Advanced ANSI/NETA/MTS
Advanced SCADA systems
Advanced Hand tools
Ability to reside with a maximum commuting distance of 60 miles from the work site to ensure availability for on-site responsibilities
Functional Competencies Include: Collaboration, Attention to Detail, Ethics & Integrity, Communication and Prioritization
Domestic travel 5-15% required
Valid Driver's License required
Preferred
Associate degree Related Technical Degree preferred
Certification OSHA 10/30 preferred
Certification FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot preferred
1 year or more High voltage electrical work experience preferred
