Responsibilities

Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with employers, academic departments, professional associations, and industry leaders to ensure program offerings align with evolving workforce needs
Assists Director with identifying, establishing and managing strategic relationships with content vendors, organizations, and employers to expand the reach and impact of professional development initiatives
Seeks opportunities for alignment with local, state and federal workforce funding initiatives
Researches labor and workforce data to identify industry skill needs and oversees Industry Advisory Board
Collaborates with the Director of Professional Development Online to assess workforce development needs, set program priorities and ensure alignment with the strategic goals and objectives of LSU Online and Continuing Education
Leads the planning, implementation and continuous improvement of online professional development programs
Provides leadership and supervision for professional staff and instructors
Support implementation and administration of online professional development courses and content partner programs
Monitors program performance metrics, analyzes data to identify emerging trends, and implement strategies to enhance program effectiveness and learner outcomes
Collaborates with marketing to promote offerings, drive enrollment, and ensure a high-quality learner experience
Assists the Director in monitoring expenditures and revenue to ensure fiscal responsibility
Supports operational efficiency through data-informed decision-making, systems optimization, and process documentation
Contributes to reporting and assists with negotiations and contract execution
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Communication or equivalent with five years experience in Higher education or program management
Candidates who have relevant experience in key job responsibilities are encouraged to apply— a degree is not required as long as the candidate meets the required years of experience specified in the job description
Operation Essential Personnel - This position may be asked to work during an official closure, but who is otherwise not required to report to the physical campus during a closure and whose absence does not present a risk to the safety, resources, and well-being of the campus per FASOP HR-01
All candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and maintain that valid work authorization throughout employment

Preferred

Master's degree in Business, Education, Communication or equivalent with 3-5 years experience in Higher education or program management
