Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, Power Module
Tesla is leading the charge in sustainable energy and is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer for Power Module to innovate manufacturing processes and technologies. Responsibilities
Develop new manufacturing processes and technologies for power module packaging and assembly
Collaborate with design to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) solutions and seamless integration of product design and manufacturing processes
Conduct research and analysis to identify and implement new manufacturing processes and materials
Design, execute, and analyze experiments to validate process assumptions, understand process interactions, and optimize process conditions
Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues related to power module assembly, including equipment, process, and material-related problems
Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process specifications, work instructions, and training materials
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in power electronics module assembly and manufacturing, with a strong understanding of product design and assembly interaction
Strong knowledge of manufacturing module packaging processes, including soldering, wire bonding, encapsulation, adhesives, and other relevant technologies
Experience with process development, optimization, and control, including statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE)
Proven experience in automated manufacturing equipment, installation, qualification, characterization, and meeting manufacturing targets
Proficiency in CAD tools and six sigma principles, with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
