Titans After School Program Aide
NEOGOV is seeking Titans After School Program Aides to work with students in grades TK-8. The role involves supervising students, providing tutoring and homework assistance, and creating an engaging educational environment.

Responsibilities
Must implement all Titans After School Program rules and procedures and display professionalism at all times
Responsible to support their supervisor by following their directions
Communicates regularly with the Site Coordinator regarding all aspects of the program at the designated site
Must follow all Chain of Command when it comes to reporting any incidents or concerns at site
Responsible to clock in/out on the site’s desktop computer only and must complete electronic timesheet and approve own hours on Web Clock as scheduled bi-weekly
Must attend all weekly staff meetings
Work collaboratively with all staff members
Responsible to collect all attendance documents and any other documents needed at the end of programming daily
Provide students with educational enrichment, including positive youth development strategies, recreation, prevention activities, and the ability to teach youth positive life skills
Provide tutoring and homework assistance
Ensures the students receive constant supervision and provides a safe and supported environment at all times
Implement all Titans After School Program curriculum: Buena Park: Let’s Learn!, Meet the Masters, Math Readers, Battle of the Books, STEM, Comic Books. Must also implement any new curriculum that may be introduced during the school year (Training will be provided)
Create and implement an engaging educational curriculum every month upon approval of their direct supervisor
Program aides are responsible for any Titans After School Program property such as curriculum materials and electronics that have been given to them or checked out for use
Staff may be required to provide extra support to students with behavioral challenges
Staff will work in small group setting with students that require extra assistance during the duration of the program and provide extra assistance in the capacity of escorting students to different rooms, escorting students to restroom, escorting students from the school day teachers to the after-school program
Staff may be required to work one-on-one with any students the require extra support in the areas of behavior, academic support, eloping, or maybe a safety risk to themselves or others due to physical behavior
May need to assist students with toileting needs and toileting accidents
Accurately track students’ progress using the programmatic protocol
May be asked to stay past the scheduled time when students are picked up past normal check-out time
Responsible for managing service learners, interns, and volunteers at the site
Responsible for checking their assigned Fullerton email on a weekly basis to ensure all trainings are up-to-date and completed by their deadline
Staff is expected to follow all Titans protocols and guidelines
Staff may need to step in or fill in for program instructor if program site is short staffed
Staff may need to assist or lead enrichment activities, as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to solely manage a classroom of 20-25 students
Understanding behavior management and effective disciplinary techniques
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized with exceptional interpersonal and partnering relationship skills
Ability to keep track of all curriculum and binders at the site
Enthusiastic and highly motivated with team-building skills
Excellent time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel) and Google Drive (i.e. Docs, Sheets)
Must be flexible, team-oriented, child-focused, and want to make a difference in the lives of students
Must be available to work at least three (3) days a week
