Responsibilities

Influence and create new designs, software, architecture, and methods for deploying large-scale distributed systems

Be a contributing member of the team that define the technical approach, system and software architecture, and API design of Motorola Solutions next generation centralized storage

Learn and deeply understand the range of Motorola Solutions internal platforms

Create a technical approach and a design for new features that span the organization

Drive new capabilities and requirements in our platforms to support new product features

Take part in an on-call rotation (one sprint on, multiple sprint off)

Design and development of custom software solutions that centralize common functionality

Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications

Develop automation tools and services to minimize delivery time and increase developer productivity

Take part in partner interactions, DevOps and deployment activities

Integration with Multiple Cloud Services like AWS or Azure or GCP

On-call work/support is required for services developed by the team

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field with 5+ years of equivalent experience

Strong experience and understanding of C# and .NET Core

Good understanding of Python/Go

Good understanding of Kubernetes/Docker/ CICD

Good understanding of AWS/Azure/GCP

Strong level of curiosity and interest to learn

Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving, growing, and agile environment

Strong troubleshooting, debugging skills. Good performance diagnostic skills

Database - PostgreSQL or CosmosDB

US Citizenship required

The candidate must be in the office once a week at one of the following locations: Allen, TX, or Schaumburg, IL

Our customers require US citizenship and residency for this role

This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's 'Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy' and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers
