Hive Power Engineering LLC is a growing and dynamic consulting firm specializing in Substation Design. They are seeking a Substation Physical Designer who will work directly with engineers to prepare design packages for power utility substations and will have opportunities for training and development within the team.

Responsibilities

Physical layouts, key plans, sections
Conduit/trench/wire way design, control room, panel and cabinet design, ground grid design, substation fence, and bus supports
Inventor 3D design
Transformer, circuit breaker, disconnect switch, lightning arrester, PT, CCVT etc
Line drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, SCADA/Alarm
Proficient in AutoCAD / MicroStation (along with raster programs)
Ability to work in a team environment
Desire to learn and advance into designer, engineer role in the long run

Required

Familiarity with physical layouts, key plans, sections

Familiarity with transformer, circuit breaker, disconnect switch, lightning arrester, PT, CCVT etc
Familiarity with line drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, SCADA/Alarm
Proficient in AutoCAD / MicroStation (along with raster programs)
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to adapt, compromise as needed, and focus on continuous improvement and clear communication
