Responsibilities
Support operations in troubleshooting daily process issues as needed
Perform root cause analysis and implement process changes/control plans to drive continuous improvement and to improve baseline safety, quality, production, and cost performance
Participate in site HSE and Process Safety Management programs, including Management of Change, Process Hazard Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and Incident Investigations
Identify and monitor Key Process Indicators to sustain optimal plant operations and deliver on production, yield, and cost targets
Work closely with other site engineers to develop and implement innovative engineering solutions to improve OEE
Mentor and train operations staff on unit design and intended/optimal operation
Have a presence on the floor with front-line workers to find solutions
Utilize Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools to drive process improvements
Develop capital project scopes of work and associated process packages to improve or maintain unit operations
Qualification
Required
Technical expertise in chemical engineering
Experience in a 24/7 manufacturing facility
Ability to lead continuous process improvement
Experience with Key Performance Indicators
Technical guidance to operations team
Process troubleshooting skills
Development of corrective action plans
Participation in HSE and Process Safety Management programs
Root cause analysis skills
Implementation of process changes/control plans
Monitoring Key Process Indicators
Collaboration with other engineers for innovative solutions
Mentoring and training operations staff
Presence on the floor with front-line workers
Utilization of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools
Development of capital project scopes of work and process packages
