Responsibilities

Develop CMM programs both at the CMM by "learn programming" and "off line" at the computer aided inspection station (CAI)
Assure compatibility of engineering drawings, design data, and fabrication methods, with CMM methods and capabilities
Provide training to machinists, quality auditors, and technicians on CMM Operation
Resolve compatibility issues between the CAI system and design data generated by computer aided design (CAD) processes
Have above average knowledge of geometric and traditional tolerancing
Have above average knowledge of various manufacturing, fabrication, and measurement processes to assist Engineers in the resolution of measurement system and manufacturing problems
Create solid models using CAD systems

Required

High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience inspection experience
Minimum 3 years of CMM Inspection/Programming experience
The ability to demonstrate above average knowledge of GD&T
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred

Associate degree (or equivalent) in a technical field
A demonstrated working knowledge of GD&T Blueprint reading
Strong geometric math skills (Geometry/trigonometry)
Strong mechanical aptitude
Aerospace industry experience
Zeiss Calypso experience is preferred
GEAR Pro experience is preferred
