Service Technician

Responsibilities

Provide on-site service, technical support, and customer assistance during field visits
Diagnose installation errors, mechanical failures, and product performance issues
Repair, adjust, or replace products, components, or parts to restore proper functionality
Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain company products and related equipment
Communicate with the Service Department to identify needed parts and submit parts orders
Produce timely, accurate, and detailed service reports documenting findings, repairs, and resolutions
Maintain a professional, courteous, and service-driven demeanor when interacting with customers
Meet scheduled appointments and respond to service requests in a timely manner
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot tools, machines, and equipment in accordance with established procedures
Adhere to all safety guidelines, company policies, and quality standards
Perform general cleanup of the work area, including removal of debris, to maintain a safe and clean customer environment
Adhere to all fleet safety requirements, including maintaining a clean and compliant company vehicle, safe driving practices, and the ability to remain insurable under Company policies throughout employment

Required

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Moderate understanding of general technical and mechanical job functions required
Ability to anticipate, diagnose, and resolve technical and customer service issues
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Proficient time management and ability to manage multiple service appointments
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer skills for reporting, documentation, and communication
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite
Ability to learn and effectively use software applications used in the performance of job duties

Preferred

Experience in the home improvement industry preferred (windows, doors, carpentry, or related trades)
