The University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking a Senior Research/Lab Technician for the NIH-funded Baker Lab at the Life Sciences Center. The main purpose of this role is to maintain animal colonies and perform various experiments, while also participating in manuscript preparation and scientific presentations.

Maintain animal colonies

Perform experiments using tissue culture

Confocal microscopy

Western blot analysis

Flow cytometry

Participate in generating experimental results

Manuscript preparation

Presenting at scientific meetings

Purchase of lab supplies

Help with some administrative duties (take notes of lab meetings and/or help writing portions of grant applications)

Required

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
