Mid LevelPrairie View A&M University is seeking a Research Assistant Professor in Nutrition to conduct in-depth research on food habits and nutrition behaviors in Southern U.S. communities. The role involves collaborating with faculty, analyzing data, mentoring students, and preparing grant proposals and publications.

Responsibilities
Lead the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, applying advanced research methods. Assess food habits and influences across various communities
Utilize software tools such as SPSS, NVivo, or R to analyze data effectively. Interpret data findings to support nutrition education interventions
Assist in preparing scholarly publications, research reports, and presentations for both academic and public audiences. Develop content for community outreach based on research findings. Ensure clear communication of complex research insights
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and research teams to design, conduct, and evaluate research methodologies. Support the development of effective research tools such as surveys, focus groups, and interview protocols
Provide guidance and mentorship to graduate and undergraduate students. Support students in data collection, analysis, and professional development
Oversee and manage project timelines, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met. Lead the preparation and submission of grant proposals and progress reports as required by funding agencies. Ensure adherence to ethical research practices and maintain data confidentiality and integrity
Performs other duties as assigned

Required
Ph.D. in Nutrition
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
