New Grad, Entry LevelMarine Home Center is seeking a Design Consultant to provide high-quality paint color consultations and customized window treatment designs. The role involves guiding customers through color palettes and finishes while maintaining strong relationships with the design community and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Provide professional color consultation services for homeowners, designers, architects and contractors using the C2 Paint and Farrow & Ball color systems
Guide customers through window treatment options, including product features, fabric selections, and motorization solutions
Serve customers throughout the store, as well as conduct in-home consultations to existing décor for personalized recommendations
Maintain strong relationships with local designers, builders, and decorators, promoting Premium Plywood & Specialties as a design resource
Collaborate with store staff to ensure an inspiring, organized, and visually appealing department presentation
Prepare and follow up on estimates, orders, and installations to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction
Participate in training and vendor workshops to stay current on all paint and design product trends
Attend and coordinate in-store and after-hours events as needed
Support sales goals and contribute to department growth and community presence
Utilize Company Point -of-Sale and enterprise computer system for sales and purchases orders
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized department and work area
Other related functions and duties as assigned by Department Manager or designee
Qualification
Required
Lead by example; be approachable by all associates and customers
Maintain intellectual curiosity; prepare and challenge yourself
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, coworkers, and trade professionals
Minimum 2 years of college coursework or equivalent industry experience in interior design, color consulting, or related fields
Demonstrated knowledge of paint color theory and its application in residential or commercial settings
Self-starter with strong problem solving and decision-making ability
Excellent organizational, presentation, and follow-up skills
Must be available for both in-store hours and scheduled in-home appointments
Proficiency with basic computer applications and familiarity with design or visualization tools
Ability to lift >= 50 lbs
Valid MA driver's license and possess clean driving record
Preferred
Bilingual skills are a plus (English/Spanish highly desirable)
