Responsibilities
Support the preparation and characterization of nanoparticles for CMP applications
Perform surface modification experiments utilizing silane chemistry to optimize nanoparticle performance
Apply advanced analytical techniques, including electron microscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and thermogravimetric analysis, to assess surface properties and modifications
Interpret experimental results, prepare comprehensive reports, and present findings to the research team
Partner effectively with team members to execute project objectives and actively contribute to laboratory meetings with technical insights and recommendations
Qualification
Required
Completed coursework in organic and inorganic chemistry, demonstrating a strong theoretical foundation
Proficient in chemical laboratory techniques, including safe handling of chemicals and materials; completed organic and inorganic laboratory courses
Skilled in data analysis and interpretation to support research conclusions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive approach to teamwork and knowledge sharing
Highly organized with exceptional accuracy and precision in experimental work and documentation
Currently enrolled in a degree program in Chemistry, Materials Science, Biochemistry, Nanotechnology or related field
Graduation years: 2026 or 2027
Must be a currently enrolled student
Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in mid-May/June through August/September
Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in an internship program
Will need to be in laboratory environment for 6-8 hours
Must be able to move filled 5-gallon buckets of mostly water
