Van Meter Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer Intern to support products and initiatives related to the Motor Control Center (MCC) design department. The intern will work closely with Design Engineers and other teams to develop customer solutions and gain hands-on experience through job shadowing and participation in various company activities.

Responsibilities

Learn the roles of various departments in the organization and understand relationships with key partners and vendors
Participate in job shadowing across departments with a focus on MCC design and engineering
Support and learn from our Automation Support and Design Engineering Teams
Join Account Managers and Specialists on customer site visits to learn how we engage and support our customers
Build technical acumen in an assigned domain (determined at the start of the internship)
Attend Commercial events and assist with technical sessions, labs, or trade shows as needed
Help create training materials for internal employees and external customers
Perform assigned tasks as directed

High School Graduate
Pursuing a degree in a technical field including but not limited to: Engineering, Automation, Robotics, or related fields
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
