Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair Load Tap Changers (LTCs) and transformer components
Perform electrical testing and diagnostics on LTCs and related equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in LTC field environments
Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on LTCs to ensure optimal performance
Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for service tasks
Prepare detailed field reports and communicate findings to management and customers
Operate heavy machinery and follow strict safety protocols
Support cross-functional teams during service projects
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Advanced post-high school education or 5 years of relevant field service experience
Experience in utility or power industry field service
Technical proficiency in LTC operation, transformer assembly, electrical testing, controls, or oil processing
Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently
Experience with technical report writing
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
