Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior consultants to deliver high-value energy studies

Build and refine simulation models for transmission and distribution systems

Analyze system performance under various operational and contingency scenarios

Present technical findings to clients and stakeholders in clear, compelling formats

Support integration of renewables, storage, and emerging technologies

Contribute to strategic planning and regulatory filings

Apply AI/ML tools to enhance grid analytics and forecasting

Engage in continuous learning and innovation within the power sector

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Electrical Power/Energy Systems and 3 years of experience in power system studies, or Master's degree and 1 year of experience, or PhD

Proficiency in simulation tools like PSS/E, PSCAD, MATLAB, DSATools, ETAP, CYME, SKM, or ASPEN

Experience or coursework in programming, AI/ML, and power system analysis

Familiarity with transmission planning, stability studies, and electromagnetic transients

Exposure to renewables, energy storage, EV charging, or AI/ML applications in power systems

Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
