Responsibilities
Contribute to the electrical system design for municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, related buildings, and other industrial facilities
Performing design calculations
Developing one-line diagrams, control schematics, lighting plans, grounding systems, and detailed electrical system specifications
Utilize power systems analysis software such as ETAP and SKM Power Tools to conduct power system analysis
Become more involved in field investigations, as well as the preparation of reports and memos related to electrical engineering tasks
Provide engineering services during the construction phase, including reviewing equipment submittals, shop drawings, and responding to contractor requests for information
Short-term travel within the southwest region of the United States for project meetings and site visits
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
Academic emphasis on three phase power systems
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project and Outlook)
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and collaborate with colleagues across various functions
Preferred
Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) / Engineer in Training (EIT) license or ability to obtain within one (1) year from date of hire
Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, Visio, or other graphic drafting development software
Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations
Experience using ETAP, SKM Power Tools or other power systems analysis software
Internship / part-time work for a consulting engineering firm or systems integrator
