Responsibilities

You will determine current and desired quality levels of efficiency and areas of concern relative to operational readiness of subordinate units’ ability to provide capabilities required by commanders executing core and assigned missions
You will ensure the units conduct Mission Analysis throughout their assigned mission assessment/reporting
You will facilitate the monthly Readiness Council to ensure that III MEF Readiness Officers are capturing concerns germane to the Commanding General's Strategic Vision
You will prepare and submit monthly Defense Readiness Reporting System-Marine Corps reports to Headquarters Marine Corps, Plans, Policy, and Operations Readiness Branch
You will collect readiness reporting data from the subordinate III MEF Commanders

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level
This is an overseas position. You will be subject to and must be able to satisfy the overseas requirements
This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States
If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport
May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations
You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
This is a Critical Sensitive position requiring a TOP SECRET security clearance
The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State and Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) driver's licenses
This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP). This position is subject to a pre-employment urinalysis screening and random urinalysis screenings thereafter
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing operational readiness through trends in reporting, gathering information from subordinate reports, exercise after action reviews, while incorporating higher headquarters guidance and policies
