SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGMENT SPECIALIST
NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT is seeking a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in the Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) Department. The role involves leading logistics initiatives, maintaining program knowledge, and providing analytical guidance to senior leaders on logistics management processes.

Responsibilities
You will attend functional/technical program meetings, conferences, and program reviews and become a leader or integral member of the logistics initiative team
You will maintain current program knowledge and status to effectively integrate, justify, and defend program initiatives in numerous technical, functional and program management arenas
You will lead and provide expert analytical advice and guidance to functional managers and senior leaders on DoD and Navy logistics management program processes and development and analysis requirements
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Possessing extensive and broad knowledge of Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) principles, practices, and regulations, particularly as they relate to weapon systems and military logistics. 2) Demonstrating ability to lead and manage a team of diverse professionals, including engineers, logistics management specialists and packaging specialists, to include the ability to evaluate performance, plan workload and address employee concerns. 3) Exhibiting experience in program management, including the ability to integrate PHS&T requirements with other logistics elements and program requirements
