Clinical Research Coordinator I
The University of Pittsburgh is a nationally recognized leader in advancing research in hematologic disorders. They are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I to assist with IRB protocols, recruit research subjects, and conduct laboratory experiments and assessments.

Responsibilities
Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board (IRB) renewal, modification, and approved protocols
Recruits research subjects. Conducts research interviews in-person or via telephone while adhering to all applicable protocols. Completes research assessments on study participants
Conducts laboratory-based experiments and performs specialized hematology assays. Processes human blood samples. Performs all tasks related to and coordinates the day-to-day operations of research activities within the laboratory
Maintains databases in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to all applicable protocols and regulations. Assists with training new personnel as directed
Assists with study assessments administration as directed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
No experience required
Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board (IRB) renewal, modification, and approved protocols
Recruits research subjects and conducts interviews and research assessments
Conducts laboratory-based experiments and performs specialized hematology assays
Processes human blood samples
Maintains databases in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to all applicable protocols and regulations
Assists with training new personnel as directed
Assists with study assessments administration as directed
Some physical effort is required, for example, moving and lifting boxes containing laboratory supplies and equipment
This position may require walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time
For position finalists, employment with the University will require successful completion of a background check
The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks are required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance
