Training Developer
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is a leader in remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars. The Technical Training Developer is responsible for developing and coordinating training programs and curriculum for employees, while also evaluating the effectiveness of training activities and ensuring content accuracy.

Responsibilities
Develops and coordinates curriculum; conducts training sessions for employees using diverse methods (in-person/virtual) and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities
Develops course content and coordinates the development of training aids, in coordination with internal customers, contractors, or vendors
Develops in-house programs, learning aids, and activities to address developmental needs
Develops and administers student examinations; continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date
Collaborate with instructors, other departments and subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance
Utilize multimedia tools to create interactive and engaging e-learning modules
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback
Update and enhance learning platforms and existing training materials as needed
Coordinates training programs with customer and/or contractor personnel; standardizes user training, technical manuals, and other aspects of maintenance support
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company
Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
Additional Functions: Other duties as assigned or as required
Qualification
Required
Typically requires education or formal training equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field and three or more years' experience developing and administering training programs
Experience with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 Storyline, Camtasia and Photoshop
Familiarity with instructional design models like ADDIE, Backward Design, ASSURE or SAM
Knowledge of instructional design principles and models, learning theories, and strategies, adult learning principles
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
Ability to work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously
Must have a general understanding of division/subsidiary/affiliate product(s) and responsibilities and be able to understand and integrate technical writing source material into a training curriculum
Must possess the ability to organize, schedule and coordinate multiple work phases; determine the appropriate approach at the task or project level; and have experience demonstrating a general application of training practices, techniques, and standards
Must be customer focused and possess: the ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity, good verbal and written communication and presentations skills to accurately train, document, and report findings to a variety of audiences, good interpersonal skills to influence and guide employees and customers, the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information, the ability, in some positions, to obtain a security clearance, good computer skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work extended hours and travel as required
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance is required
