Ikon Search is launching a new Builders Risk insurance program and is seeking an experienced underwriting executive to lead the full buildout. The Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) will be responsible for the strategy, design, and launch of the program, including product development and ongoing management.

Responsibilities

Lead the creation and launch of a new Builders Risk program
Develop policy forms, rating models, underwriting guidelines, and appetite
Manage reinsurance strategy and negotiations with broker partners
Oversee regulatory filings and compliance requirements
Build the workflow, processes, and operational structure of the program
Drive program strategy, profitability, and long-term growth
Serve as the organization’s subject-matter expert for Builders Risk

Required

Extensive Builders Risk underwriting expertise
Strong background in reinsurance strategy and treaty negotiations
Ability to design forms, guidelines, rate structures, and filings
Executive leadership experience with autonomy to run a program

Experience building or scaling Property/Builders Risk programs
