Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based software solutions from concept to deployment

Analyze requirements and translate them into scalable, secure designs

Balance cost, capability, availability, and resilience in cloud architectures

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues

Review and generate technical designs to ensure accuracy and completeness

Help plan projects by defining tasks, timelines, and technical approaches

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (degree may substitute for 2 years of experience); Master's degree may substitute for 4 years of experience

5+ years of relevant software engineering experience

4+ years of experience developing software in high-level languages such as Java, C, or C++

Hands-on experience with open-source, distributed NoSQL technologies (e.g., HBase, Accumulo, Bigtable)

3+ years of experience developing software on UNIX/Linux (Red Hat) platforms

3+ years of experience with software integration and testing, including creating and executing test plans and scripts

Strong technical writing skills, with experience producing software documentation

Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph (required)
