Art Specialist
Children's Aid is seeking a part-time Art Specialist for their Dunlevy Milbank Community Center located in Harlem. The role focuses on encouraging creativity and self-expression among youth participants aged 14 to 18 through arts and crafts instruction.

Responsibilities
Understand and promote the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures
Develop course curriculum
Teach general arts and crafts skills to children in creative ways
Request supplies and equipment needed for activities
Maintain proper care of supplies and equipment
Adhere to policy and procedures of the Children’s Aid Dunlevy Milbank Community Center
Dress and organize notice boards
Follow Milbank monthly theme or project-based concept
Keep inventory of supplies
Set-up and break down classroom or teaching area
Host seasonal art and craft displays and exhibition
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
Must be responsible, dependable, and have a minimum of 2 years' experience teaching children and youth
Must have experience teaching arts and crafts, and a strong ability to make arts and crafts engaging for youth of all ability levels
Creative approach to teaching arts and crafts
Dynamic personality; able to relate to youth between the ages of 14 to 18 years old
In touch with popular youth culture
Have good organizational and planning skills, high creativity, and the ability to work with minimum supervision
