The University of Utah is seeking a Learning Communities Program Manager to support various initiatives within the Honors Learning Community Programming. This role involves collaboration with students and faculty to enhance the academic experience and success of Honors students.

Responsibilities

Supports Honors College Learning Community programs that encourage community and thesis completion among Honors students
Oversight and supervision of peer support programs within Learning Communities including recruitment, training and retention of hired students
Capacity to be organized, maintain a schedule, work with student peer leaders, prioritize and delegate opportunities and tasks in ways that align with student aspirations
Participates in collaborative programming with Departmental Honors Liaisons (DHLs) and maintains strong, positive partnerships with units across campus
Supports ongoing planning around co-curricular learning community events and activities
Communicates thesis registration & submission deadlines to students, DHLs, and faculty thesis mentors

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience)
Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required

Preferred

Experience with academic program management, including student leadership opportunities
Experience with Honors education and/or working with highly motivated, high-achieving students
Experience with office and project management
Experience with event planning and operations
